MTC Scout Families and Friends:

A Scout is HELPFUL is much more than the 3rd point of the Scout Law…

The Middle Tennessee Council is calling on all Scouts and their families to help victims of Hurricane Florence to recover from the devastating effects caused by flooding in the local areas.

We have been asked to help provide relief for families in this area by collecting library books for grades 1-5, and 5,000 school supply items for 58,000 children devastated by Hurricane Florence in eastern North Carolina.

Forty-six schools lost thousands of library books and school supplies from water damage or mold growth. Some schools were closed up to 7 weeks.  Let’s continue to show why Tennessee is known as the Volunteer state by helping our neighbors in this time of need.

Bring collected items to the Council Service Center - 3414 Hillsboro Pike Nashville, TN 37215 - by December 8 (Service Center hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We will be closed November 22 - 23 for Thanksgiving )

A donated truck will take the items to North Carolina where local East Carolina Council Scouts will help distribute to those in need.  Please feel free to share this email with friends and family members, as we will happily receive items from across the council.

Below are the details on items to collect.
