Triple play with Popcorn = Fun, Adventure & Rewards!
 

Popcorn season has arrived!!!!  The popcorn sale is designed to be the only unit fundraiser a Scout unit will ever need!! The Middle Tennessee Council hosted its 1st of 2 2019 Popcorn Kickoffs this past Saturday.  Over 200 enthusiastic and “cheering” unit leaders attended the kickoff where our new vendor, Trails-End Popcorn, displayed the 2019 product mix and marketing incentives/plans.  The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has partnered with the Council to promote the popcorn theme.

The Council will host its 2nd popcorn kickoff on this Saturday, July 20 at the Scout office from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  If you would like to attend, sign up to sell popcorn or get more information on the popcorn sale, please contact Kevin McMurrian at (615) 516-9065 or kmcmurrian@mtcbsa.org.


 

NYLT

Course #2: July 22 -27, 2019

NYLT is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experiences that they can use in their home unit and in other situations demanding quality leadership. This training integrates the best of modern leadership theory with Scouting through activities, presentations, and challenges, while engaged in a unified approach to leadership. Using a wide-range of activities events, games, and adventure, participants put into action the leadership skills they are learning.

ORDER OF THE ARROW FALL INDUCTION WEEKEND

BSA SPORTING CLAYS FUN SHOOT

Bring your 5 member team and your keen eye, and join us for the annual Sporting Clays Fun Shoot to support MTCBSA.  From novice to marksman, everyone is welcome to shoot clay targets at the Nashville Gun Club on August 24th.  You can either bring your own team, or sponsor a youth team, or both!  And before the fun shoot, be sure to join us Thursday evening, August 22, for our annual clay shoot live auction, where we will offer fantastic items to bid on, helping to raise needed funds to support our Scouts.  Click this link for more information and to register, and we look forward to seeing you at the range!

 

 

2019 WOODBADGE COURSE

August 23-25 and September 27-29

Wood Badge is the premier adult leader training course established the Boy Scouts of America, and the Middle Tennessee Council is once again proud to offer this program to any registered adult leader.  Registration is now open for Wood Badge MT-66 at Boxwell Reservation.  Click here  to learn more and to register.  The course takes place over two weekends, August 23-25 and September 27-29, 2018.  Wood Badge is for leaders in all Scouting programs, including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing, District or Council Leadership.  The course focuses on contemporary leadership issues and skills, including lectures, activities, demonstrations, and FUN!  If you would like more information, you may contact Staff Advisor Mark Lytle at either 931-259-0166 or via email at mlytle@mtcbsa.org.


 

BSA FALL GOLF CLASSIC 2019

The MIDDLE TENNESSEE COUNCIL, BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA’S Extravaganza is a fun evening of socializing in Nashville, where community and business leaders come together to support and help build leaders in our youth!   A fun setting where Nashville residents get an opportunity to kickoff their holiday shopping and bid on an array of 250+ SILENT and TEN very selective and unique LIVE auction items.

100th YEAR ANNIVERSARY "COFFEE TABLE BOOK"

The MTCBSA is excited to announce that there will be a “Coffee Table Book” published  at the end of 2020 to commemorate 100 years of Scouting of the Middle Tennessee Council, Boy Scouts of America, 1920-2020.

To help us with the process of gathering material and content for the book, we are at this point asking you to submit pictures, visuals of letters, memos, Scouting memorabilia from 1920-1950 by ONLY UPLOADING them to https://www.mtcbsa.org/marketing.
