TRAINED LEADERS ARE CRUCIAL TO GOOD SCOUTING

The Boy Scouts of America has one of the very best training programs to help new leaders serve our youth, and we encourage you to take advantage of that training.  Designed for our new leaders, Cub Scout Basic and Position Specific Leader trainings will get you the head start you need to have a great Scouting program.  And, while these trainings are all available online for your convenience, we also offer “in person” trainings throughout the fall, so you can enjoy the friendship of other Scout leaders while being able to interact and ask questions.  Either way, please make sure to take advantage of the trainings offered, and provide the very best Scouting experience to the youth you serve.  Click here to view all upcoming trainings in your area and please register.

NEW PARENTS' ORIENTATION GUIDE

Many families/parents interested in Scouting have never been in Scouts themselves, or it may have been a minute since they were involved.  To help with this, we have prepared a resource called “Cub Scout Parents’ Orientation Guide” that we cover at each round up.  This handy guide will give you an insightful overview of the Cub Scout program, and covers everything from leadership positions to activities to rank advancement and much more.  You can access the guide online by clicking here or pick one up at a school sign up night in your area.
