Tornado Relief Effort

Just imagine your school and neighborhood heavily damaged or destroyed, what’s next?  For several teachers and students in Middle Tennessee today, there is no imagining, it is reality!  The devastating tornado on March 3 heavily damaged or destroyed several schools and houses.

For now, the Middle Tennessee Council is calling all Scouts and families to help victims of these tornadoes to recover from the devastating effects.

We are asking our Scouts and families to help provide school supplies, tents and sleeping bag as one way that we can show “A Scout is Helpful”. Please click here to view the list of need.

Climbing and Rappelling

April 17-19, 2020

Take your unit climbing!  Middle TN Council has a training program for that.

Rock climbing is a quickly growing sport, even seeing it as a new addition in the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo.  Many of your Scouts likely have been indoor climbing at one of the many local climbing gyms in our area.  Most of them though likely have not had the opportunity to rappel off a 160' cliff.

The Middle TN Council Cope and Climbing Committee is re-launching its unit level training program for climbing and rappelling.

Let’s go camping for free! Simply selling cards helps the Scout earn their way to camp and provides discounts to many local vendors. This is a fantastic way to help fund most of your Scout camping needs, in that you can help pay for those events by selling CAMP CARDS!  There are six regional cards available this year, so everyone across the Council can benefit from one of these cards.  The sale will officially begin on February 24, 2020 but you can register your unit for the sale now by clicking HEREThe MTC Camp Card Sale deadline for selling cards has been extended to June 5. Money from the card sale that is due to the MTC is to be turned in by June 10.  Also feel free to contact our Camp Card Advisor, Vance Lackey, at or 615-383-9724.
