Scouters and Families of the Middle Tennessee Council,

We know there are a lot of challenges and uncertainty in the future of many things right now. Please know the Middle Tennessee Council is steadfastly committed to support Scouting programs in every community of the Council.

The MTC has been discussing a possible District Alignment Study for several years. The last district realignment was done over 20 years ago. To ensure the Scouting programs continue in Middle Tennessee for many years to come, the MTC has conducted a District Alignment Study. The study was led by a group of volunteers who are very engaged in the Scouting program throughout the Council.

We ask you to join Council President, John Bright Cage, Council Commissioner, Karen Bengtson, VP District Operations, Fant Smith and Scout Executive, Larry Brown, on a Facebook live stream on August 19th at 6:30 p.m. to hear the proposed changes being considered from the District Alignment Committee. You can find the link to the meeting on the MTC Facebook page.

On Wednesday, August 26 at 6:30 p.m. the MTC will hold a Zoom meeting to answer questions that have been submitted after the Facebook live meeting and to discuss feedback we have received. We will also answer questions submitted in the Zoom meeting chat box.

Thank you for your continued commitment to the youth of the Middle Tennessee Council.

Yours in Scouting

Dr. John Bright Cage
