Exciting news as we have created another opportunity for Scouts BSA to advance in the program. Merit Badge Days were a huge success and due to the postponement of the Middle Tennessee Council 100-year Anniversary Jamboree, we understand the need for our Scouts to have a physical program for Scouting. On October 3rd and October 4th at Boxwell Reservation we will be hosting Merit Badge Days again. Same concept, same style but this time we are offering over 20 Merit Badge Classes, three Rank advancements and Adult Training opportunities.

2020 University of Scouting

University of Scouting is a supplemental training opportunity for all adult Scout leaders. It is the only time during the year where you can find, all in one place, the widest variety of training opportunities in all program areas (Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting, District Operations, and Council). Whether you are new to the program or a veteran of many years, the University provides interesting courses in Cub Scouting, Scout BSA and Adventure and leadership training for Venturing and Sea Scouting; Electives courses applicable across the Scouting programs, and District operations courses.

For 2020, we will be approaching University of Scouting in an all new way – Treks! Each college will feature one to four Treks that you will be able to choose from that each contain four to five classes. Treks will allow the Middle Tennessee Council to bring you the premier training event you are accustomed to while also making sure that all of those who wish to participate have the opportunity to do so while being safe through social distancing practices.  The event is scheduled for November 14, 2020 and will take place in person at Boxwell and will also be supplemented with a virtual option via a ZOOM Trek!
